Corcoran Report - Q1 2016
We are pleased to include a link to Corcoran’s 1st-Quarter Report, an in-depth look at Manhattan’s residential sales trends for Q1 2016.  This quarter saw record high prices, an increase in active inventory, and a drop in the number of sales after two quarters of increases.  A few points to consider:

- Although the number of closed sales dropped by 5% from Q1 2015 to Q1 2016, average price per square foot increased by 15% over the same time period, reaching a record high of $1832/square foot
- Inventory has steadily increased since 2013. From Q1 2015 to Q1 2016, inventory increased by 8%.
-Resale co-op and condo closings declined by 10% from Q1 2015 to Q1 2016 while new development closings increased by 42% over that period
