Winter Garden is one of those miraculous places that manages to blend small-town closeness with a bustling, vibrant hipness. Plant Street market is a local community market located in historic downtown Winter Garden, with 20 vendors featuring natural, organic food and handmade products all inside of one building.

One of the most desirable communities in West Orange County, Oakland Park borders downtown Winter Garden with the West Orange Trail passing through this quaint community. The community is in another phase of building new construction homes and townhomes and they won't last long!

The SOBO Art Gallery is a Historic Winter Garden landmark and was actually the first Fire Station in the town. Over the years this building has been preserved and is now home to the Art Gallery whose goal is to expand public access to art. The facility provides space to educate, explore, experience, and celebrate the many aspects of visual art and culture.

The Garden Theatre functions as the premier performing arts center in West Orange County, hosting more than 200 events a season/year, including professional-level theatre, dance, music, and films.

Constructed in 1935 in the Mediterranean Revival style, the interior of the Garden Theatre was modeled after a Spanish courtyard with Romeo and Juliet balconies, a Spanish tile roof, and a dark blue ceiling resplendent with stars.

Housed in a former Tavares and Gulf depot built in 1913, the museum depicts railroading history with a focus on Central Florida. Exhibits include a large collection of dining car china and model trains. The Central Florida Railroad Museum operates in conjunction with the Winter Garden Heritage Foundation.

The Winter Garden Heritage Museum features rotating exhibits on the rich history of West Orange County. Stroll through the exhibit hall, take a specialized museum tour, or book a walking or biking tour of Historic Downtown. The History Research and Education Center and Visitors’ Center houses an extensive archive documenting the area’s past with a mission to preserve the area’s heritage and architecture, as well as visitor information, maps, and brochures.

Located south of Downtown Winter Garden, bordering Windermere and moments from Disney is the community of Horizon West. This popular master plan community introduces a new urbanism inspired concept of a series of villages with high density activity centers that provide community hubs, walkable conveniences and a sense of space.

Hamlin is a destination located in the center of Horizon West, the third fastest growing master-planned community in the nation. Winter Garden Village at Fowler's Grove is located just a few miles down the road from Downtown. It is an expansive open-air shopping center with more than 80 stores and restaurants, including large retailers and superstores and chain restaurants. Constructed over what was once a citrus grove, historic statues and plaques throughout the center tell of the story of the town’s former residents.
