April brings us the first full month of spring and New York is starting to warm up to the be the city we look forward to all winter long. Aside from celebrating major holidays like Passover and Easter, take a moment to enjoy all the activities and events happening this month. There's even more greenery fun this month too with Earth Day! Let's remember to take care of our planet. It's the only one we have. And remember to live JOYfully all year long.

The Orchid Show at the New York Botanical Garden closes on April 28th. Don't miss you chance to experience the tribute to the "city in a garden" with this year's theme, Singapore.

The 18th annual Tribeca Film Festival will take place in Lower Manhatan, Chelsea and special venues at the end of the month. The film festival has long shown a spotlight on independent films as well as the latest from big-name talent and filmmakers.

Speaking of festivals, Carnegie Hall is hosting the 2019 International Music Festival on April 16th at the Stern Auditorium. Don't miss your opportunity to experience some of the most outstanding musicians from around the world in one place.

The Brooklyn Folk Festival, which has inhabited Kings County live-music venues like the Jalopy Theater and the Bell House in past years, returns to St. Ann's Church for its tenth iteration.

Joshua Red, one of the biggest saxophone musicians of the modern era, will be playing numbers from an upcoming quartet album - what will be his first in nearly two decades. The quartet consists of pianist Aaron Goldberg, bassist Reuben Rogers and drummer Gregory Hutchinson.

Too Fast to Live, Too Young to Die opens at the Museum of Arts and Design. The exhibit explores the visual language of punk through hundreds of its most memorable graphics, from the shocking remixes of expropriated images and texts, to the DIY zines and flyers that challenged the commercial slickness of the mainstream media.

Grand Bazaar NYC will host the 3rd Annual NYC Food Truck Fest on April 13th. This year's festival will include 15 gourmet food trucks in addition to 30 of the Bazaar's most unique weekly vendors.
